                         Broccoli Wheat Kozhukattai




-:Ingredients :-

Wheat Rava                        1 cup
Broccoli                              1 cup
Grated coconut                   ½ cup
Water                                  2 ¼ cups
Mustard                              1 tsp
Salt                                      as per taste
Urad dhal                            1 tsp
Oil                                       3 tsp

-:Method:-
1.Toss the wheat rava for about a minute until the raw flavor goes off. Leave it to cool.
2.In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, urad dhal. Fry until the mustard seeds crackle and now add the curry leaves. Keep this aside.
3.Clean the broccoli by adding a pinch of salt to boiled water and soak the broccoli for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes wash it again in running water.
4. After washing the broccoli chop it to fine pieces.
5. Boil 2 cups of water in the pan containing the mustard and curry leaves , add broccoli, salt , and slowly add the wheat rava and keep stirring on low flame
6. When the mixture solidifies add grated coconut .
7. Let the mixture cool. Make balls of desired shape (oval shape is usually preferred) and steam for 10 minutes
8. Serve  hot with tomato chutney or sauce.









 






Cooking tips:
Use roasted wheat rava for better flavoring.
